How To Alter Preferences In Your Bellsouth Email Account?
The settings of your email account will automatically get configured as soon as you create an account. These settings will help you in creating email address book, calendar sync and mailbox changes. To set up email accounts, you need to change the preferences of an account.
Today, we are going to discuss how you can change the preferences of your Bellsouth email account on your own without taking anybody’s help.
General
- If you want to change the web client login ID details, then click on ‘Advanced’ option. All these features and functions are available there.
- For normal internet connections, Standards are best preferred.
- If you want to change the theme color, you can do so from ‘Color’ menu.
- To change the time zone from default to preferred time zone, a simple change in the time settings is required.
- You can fix appointment or schedule meeting according to the time zone selected on your email.
- In search settings, you can add junk folder, trash and other folders which are not in the list.
- To get strings, you need to enable ‘Strings’ option.
- If you want to see what’s in the content pane, then check the box which says, ‘Always show selection checkboxes’. You can delete, move, mark and read the unread messages.
- You can change the number of entries to be displayed on the screen from here. By default, 25 entries per page will be displayed.
- Click to arrange the mail according to conversation or group. By default, it is conversation type.
- Refresh interval: This is the time when your computer scans for any mail if received in your inbox. You can set time from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
- Mention type of view you want to set in your mail. If you want to use HTML, then click on HTML otherwise click on Plain text.
Message options
- If you want you can change the reading pane of BellSouth email.
- If you have enabled the snippets, then you will be able to read messages from the subject.
- Click on message will open the complete message.
- If you want to automatically enable or disable the images available for downloading in mail, then click on ‘HTML’ model.
- Mail search: This will turn on the search process when you login to the account. By default it is inbox. When you login to the account, the search box will directly start displaying the messages from inbox on screen. You can save, forward or auto reply to the mail. In case of any problem, you can contact BellSouth email support.
- Enable or disable notifications for receiving a new mail.
- Enter any email address to forward the mail to the desired email address.
- If you want to reply to the mails automatically, then open ‘Vacation messages’ option and click on ‘Settings’. You can even change the message and frame it accordingly.
- To manage messages, click on ‘Me’ section. Here you will find details like recipient’s address, your address and attachments.
Composing
- You can change text editor according to your choice.
- Set font size, color, theme and style. If you want to use Editor, you can use it.
- Always compose a message in new window pane. This will open a new window every time you compose a new mail.
